About ENjuice eLiquid

This is the liquid which is vapourised in your device. There are hundreds of sellers of ‘e-liquid’, ‘e-juice’ or ‘smoke juice’. Prices, choice and quality vary enormously. At ENjuice we offer only the best quality liquid, widest choice and value for money. You can buy cheaper liquid than ours, but selling the cheapest liquid is not our priority – we aim to offer you an unbeatable vaping experience with only top-quality liquid.

The liquid used in the vapouriser is almost always flavoured, and this contributes greatly to the pleasure and variety of the vaping experience. At ENjuice we provide an unbeatable range of flavours and recipe combinations, as well as a choice of nicotine content from zero (NoNIcs) to 32mg/ml. The nicotine strength is always given in mg/ml – in 18mg/ml liquid one millilitre (ml) of liquid will contain 18milligrammes (mg) of nicotine, and a 10ml bottle will contain a total of 180mg of nicotine.

Our liquid can be used to top-up the cartridges you use with your device, or you can simply drip a few drops directly onto the atomiser – always follow your manufacturer’s instructions. You can also use it to fill the tanks on the latest generation of devices.

ENjuice Electric Nicotine Juice contains a base of Propylene Glycol USP (PG), Vegetable Glycerin USP (VG), purified water, nicotine and flavours. All the flavours we use are free of sugars, protein, genetically modified ingredients, animal ingredients of any kind, preservatives, sweeteners and colours. They are all gluten and peanut free. It is the PG/VG base that turns into vapour when it is heated in the atomiser.

Nicotine base liquid comes in three main varieties; Standard PG/VG mix, VG /Vegetable Glycerin and Pure PG/Propylene Glycol.

Each has its own characteristics, but in general VG liquids are slightly thicker, produce the most vapour and have slightly less "throat hit" - they are also suited to slightly sweeter flavourings. Pure PG liquids are thinner, produce less vapour and have maximum "throat hit". Most people find that a PG/VG mix provides the best all-round vaping experience.

Here is a table that helps to compare our different base liquids:

All About Vaping

'Vaping’ is the use of a personal vapourising device (sometimes called an ‘electronic cigarette’ or ‘e-cig’) to produce a vapour which is inhaled. It replicates the sensation of inhaling smoke, but does not involve any tobacco, combustion or burning. Depending on the liquid used in the vapouriser, varying amounts of nicotine may be inhaled by the user. Vaporisers come in a variety of shapes and sizes to meet different needs – some look very much like a traditional cigarette, but the devices we sell are designed to give the best possible vaping experience rather than imitate the appearance of a cigarette.
What is PG or propylene glycol?

Propylene glycol, also called 1,2-propanediol or propane-1,2-diol, is an organic compound (a diol or double alcohol). It is a colourless, nearly odourless, clear, viscous liquid with a faintly sweet taste, hygroscopic and miscible with water, acetone, and chloroform. It has a wide variety of uses and its USP form has many applications in the food industry.

What is VG or vegetable glycerin?

Glycerol is an organic compound, also commonly called glycerin or glycerine. It is a colourless, odourless, viscous liquid that is widely used in pharmaceutical formulations. Glycerol is sweet-tasting and of low toxicity. In foods and beverages, glycerol serves as a humectant, solvent and sweetener, and may help preserve foods. It is also used as filler in commercially prepared low-fat foods (e.g., cookies), and as a thickening agent in liqueurs. As a food additive, glycerol is labeled as E number E422.

What is nicotine?

Nicotine is an alkaloid found in the nightshade family of plants which constitutes approximately 0.6–3.0% of dry weight of tobacco, with biosynthesis taking place in the roots, and accumulating in the leaves. Nicotine is highly addictive and poisonous. 40–60 mg (0.5-1.0 mg/kg) can be a lethal dosage for adult humans. Nicotine therefore has a high toxicity in comparison to many other alkaloids such as cocaine. Spilling an extremely high concentration of nicotine onto the skin can result in intoxication or even death since nicotine readily passes into the bloodstream from dermal contact. In low concentrations (an average cigarette yields about 1 mg of absorbed nicotine), the substance acts as a stimulant in mammals and is the main factor responsible for the dependence-forming properties of tobacco smoking.

It is vital that your ENjuice liquid is used in accordance with the safety Information provided and is kept out of the sight and reach of children at all times.
USP (United States Phamacopeia) establishes documentary and reference standards to ensure the quality of medicines, food ingredients, and other health care products. These documentary standards and reference standards are used by regulatory agencies and manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, over–the–counter drugs, dietary supplements, and food ingredients to ensure that these products are of the appropriate strength, quality, and purity. There are equivalent European (EP) and British (BP) standards.
That depends entirely on you and how much you vape. Most people seem to use about 1ml-2ml a day. An average smoker on 20 cigarettes will ingest about 20mg of nicotine – so if you are using 18ml/mg liquid that will be roughly equivalent to 1.2ml, in terms of nicotine intake. If people have been smoking for a long time before starting vaping there is normally a tendency to compare the two processes, and equate liquid use to the number of cigarettes smoked. There is no hard and fast formula for this. Most people find over time the way they vape changes and they stop comparing it to smoking. The important thing is to find a liquid flavour and strength that is right for you. If you have constant cravings perhaps try a stronger liquid; if you find the liquid to harsh try cutting down to a lower nicotine content.

Some retailers will claim that pre-filled cartridges are equivalent to up to twenty cigarettes - from our experience and knowledge this simply isn't true, and at ENjuice we don't make exaggerated claims about our liquids or how long they will last.

On this basis one 10ml bottle will last about 5-7 days if that is all you are vaping – most people have at least a couple of bottles on the go at any one time. An ‘all-day vape’ with something a bit different in the evening is common.

The average cost of cigarettes is upwards of £6-£7 per pack of twenty. With prices starting from just £4.95 for 10ml, vaping ENjuice compares well. Even better at prices from £12.95 for 30ml once you find the right liquids for you.
Simply, a personal vapourising device has three parts; a battery, an atomiser containing a tiny heating element and a cartridge or tank containing liquid.

The whole vaping experience depends on four principal elements:

  • The power supply – the battery, or the device that holds the batteries and manages the power supply

  • The atomiser - comes in different sizes and shapes, each with distinctive characteristics affecting vapour production, flavour, throat hit and effective life-span

  • The cartridge or tank – various capacities, mouthpieces, shapes and sizes – or direct dripping as a vaping method

  • The e-liquid – endless possibilities of nicotine strength, purity, quality, flavour, base liquid (propylene glycol, vegetable glycerine) and cost

Most suppliers of vapourisers and kits will provide extensive information on their products. We do not sell “Stop Smoking Devices” – and some retailers will claim that one cartridge is equivalent to 20 cigarettes – it isn’t! The Starter Kits we sell are carefully chosen to bring you the most reliable, well-tried and effective units on the market today. They do not look like traditional cigarettes, but the do produce excellent vapour with a battery life that makes them practical for everyday use.

Remember that each part of your device has a limited lifespan and will need to be replaced periodically – typically 1-3 months for a rechargeable battery and around 2 weeks for an atomiser. Even taking these ongoibg costs into account vaping can still work out a lot cheaper than smoking.
Hundreds of people every week are discovering the benefits and pleasures of vaping. It provides an alternative way of ingesting nicotine, the addictive element of tobacco smoke. It provides ‘throat hit’, the sensatiaon of inhaling the vapour and importantly it provides the opportunity to enjoy the wide range of flavours available from ENjuice. Many people vape nicotine-free liquid because they enjoy the taste and experience.

Vaping is not a Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT), or a tobacco substitute or replacement. However, many people have found that vaping has led them to reduce their use of tobacco, and in a significant number of cases to give up tobacco altogether. At ENjuice we have experience of this ourselves.

It should be noted that tobacco smoking can lead to diseases affecting the heart and lungs, with smoking being a major risk factor for heart attacks, strokes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema, and cancer (particularly lung cancer, cancers of the larynx and mouth, and pancreatic cancer). Tobacco smoke contains over 4000 toxic chemicals.

Because of the addictive nature of nicotine, our products are only available to people over the age of eighteen and are only recommended for those who have previously been exposed to nicotine by inhalation.
In theory, yes. The UK smoking ban legislation covers only combustible materials, and vaping does not involve any combustion. In practice it may be a bit more awkward – some premises are fine, others less so. Be prepared to explain what you are doing, and remember the person you are dealing with may never have heard of vaping. The more common vaping becomes, the less of an issue this may be. Many proprietors and others are fascinated and genuinely interested in seeing this strange device – others just see it as a possible problem.

The use of personal vapourisers is prohibited by many airlines, although it is normally acceptable to carry the equipment in your hand luggage, making sure you conform to any liquid packaging rules for security control. The airlines claim this is to avoid distress for other passengers who may think you are smoking. Always check with your airline before taking you vaping equipment onboard.

Additional FAQs

There are a large number of internet sites devoted to the many aspects of vaping. We recommend two sites as a good place to start, with lots of useful information and helpful forum members:

E-cigs-reviews.com is a great site to view videos and reviews of all the latest equipment and devices, as well as its online forum of vapers.

UK Vapers is one of the biggest UK-based vaping forums and is a wealth of knowledge, experience and opinions.

A word of caution – remember not everything you read on a forum is necessarily true, so always double check on any advice being offered.
